Process & Pricing

How it works

Any project we work on together will start with a conversation about what you need (and when). Once we’re both confident I understand the scope and requirements, I’ll provide a pricing estimate and propose a back-out timeline. For complex projects, I may retain sub-contractors to help complete certain portions of the work. Projects typically involve 2-3 rounds of drafts and feedback before we reach the final product. At all times I will keep you appraised of my progress, alert you any potential issues, and provide clear and consistent deadlines for review or materials consolidation.

Pricing

Most pricing is project-based, which gives us the flexibility to make sure you’re happy with the end result without worrying about getting nickele-and-dimed on extra rounds of edits. In other cases, depending on the nature of work, we might use hourly rates or even a retainer system. Any sub-contracting fees are included in the estimate, and any additional fees (e.g., travel, printing charges) will be clearly detailed. Typically half of the estimated project fee is due upfront, and the remainder on project completion. Rush jobs can incur additional fees.

Pricing estimates

These figures represent a reasonable range of expected prices for standard projects. I will never start a project without making sure you have an understanding of the expected costs associated with your project.
